L’artista
Roberta è nata a Senago (MI) nel 1967, dove attualmente vive.
Ha studiato arte, prima all’Istituto d’Arte di Cantù e poi alll’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera (Milano), Pittura.
Il suo modo di disegnare e creare immagini è cambiato adattandosi alle varie esigenze del lavoro e all’età.
Roberta ha iniziato a lavorare come illustratrice e scenografa per produzioni di cartoni animati (la Gabbianella e il gatto, Opopomoz).
Solo dal 2007 Roberta ha iniziato a dedicarsi a tempo pieno alla sua reale passione per il disegno botanico, utilizzando le tecniche tradizionali: acquerello, matite colorate e graphite.
Partecipando al Distance learning Diploma Course n.5 della Society Botanical Artists di Londra, che conclude con Distinction e subito dopo ne diventa socia.
Le sue tavole hanno illustrato l’Agenda di GARDENIA negli anni 2013 e 2014.
Utilizza anche una tecnica con la biro, molto particolare e di grande impatto visivo, Un suo Chrysanthemum è stato selezionato alla 14° International Exhibition all’ Hunt Institute del 2013, a Pittsburgh (USA).
E’ stata invitata a partecipare alla mostra a Palazzo Lanfranchi a Pisa ”Arte Botanica del terzo millennio”,e poi spostata all’orto botanico di Padova.
Da febbraio ad agosto 2014 il suo “Helianthus annuus” sarà presente alla mostra “Botanical Art in the 21st Century”, presso Royal Botanic Garden a Kew.
Non essendo un’esperta botanica ma semplicemente “un’appassionata”, dipinge solo quello che vede partendo dall’ispirazione del mondo floreale nelle diverse stagioni.
Attualmente si diletta nell’insegnamento della suddetta disciplina organizzando corsi presso enti pubblici e non.

Roberta was born in 1967 in Senago (Milano - Italy), where she still lives.
Her achievements so far include an A' Level in Classic Painting and a Masters Degree at Accademia delle Belle Arti Di Brera in Milan.
She has completed a Distance Learning Course of SBA with Distinction.
Over the years, her way of drawing and creating images has changed in many ways.
During the early days of her career, Roberta worked as an illustrator and background artist for cartoons. She was commissioned to do many pieces of work and has continued to extend her knowledge of technological software (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Painter) Using her talent and various computerized tools she is able to create not only single images but a complete business package.
Later in her career, Roberta started to develop a real passion for Botanical art through traditional medium like watercolour, colour pencil and graphite .
For two years, 2007- 2009, Roberta was based in Derbyshire, England. Whilst in the United Kingdom, Roberta joined SBA’s Distance Learning Course 5. She become a member of SBA in 2010.
One of her Chrysanthemum’s drawing has been selected for the 14° International Exhibition of the Hunt Insttute on 2013 at Pittsburgh (USA).
On 2013 she has been invited by Prof. L. T. Tongiorgi to take part at Pisa exhibition “Arte Botanica del terzo millennio”, and then the exhibition moved in Padova’s Botanical Garden.
In 2014, her “Helliantus annuus” was selected by Dr Shierly Sherwood for the exhibition “Botanical Art in the 21st Century” at the Kew Royal Botanic Garden (London).
She loves to paint flowers in a modern and personalized approach. Also, she has developed a particular medium of black and white, using a simple black biro. This is quite a unique, modern and exciting style.
Roberta is always mindful of the Seasons - and the feel good factor that they can portray.
